Re: Exchange Resources With Us?, Reunion

Hello! I am a teacher of French in South Los Angeles and would love to have my students exchange emails or other resources with students from Reunion. It would be great for them to learn about other Francophone countries as they still have trouble conceptualizing that French exists outside of just France!

    Hello!

I haven't read my epals mails for a long time. I hope you still have a look at your account and will write back. I'd love to know more about you and your brother who lives here. Hope to hear from you again.

    Gladys

Re: Exchange Resources With Us?, United States

Dear Gladys, I teach French to students aged 14-18 and would love to start an information exchange as well as letters between the students. Our school year will begin August 25. The students will range from beginners to 4th year French students. We are a private school about an hour from Washington, D.C. Let me know if you're interested. Kathy kwharp@epals.com

Re: Exchange Resources With Us?, Canada

Hi, Gladys, My brother has been living on Reunion for over 15 years. I would be happy to exchange resources like magazines, leaflets and forms. Maybe some local music band leaflets, some museum and tourist attractions around Ottawa, Canada's capital. I like the idea of trading world - my class of Gr. 7 and Gr. 8 learning disabled students are country boys who enjoy racing 4-wheelers and dirt bikes. Regarding songs, there are some Canadian canoeing and folk songs which your students might find interesting. Look forward to hearing from you. Michael

Hi! We here at Indianhead in Korea would LOVE to start an ePals relationship with your students. Sadly, we do not have French as a foreign language option here, though. Ideas? Ray L

    Exchange Resources With Us?, Reunion

Hello! I will be teaching English to students aged 15 to 18 next school year (starting in August 20) in a high school in Reunion, a French island in the Indian Ocean. Of course, we could find many resources on the Internet but I also like tangible resources. That's why I'd like to exchange "real" stuff such as magazines (old issues), leaflets; they could also exchange via the Internet, the music they like listening to. The point would be to "enter" the other's world through what surrounds him, through the "messages", the media he receives. There are some French songs ("chansons à textes", mostly), that I would love to share with teachers of French. Could you think of songs that could be of some interest to listen to and study with my students? Many thanks! Gladys
