    Re:Preteen ePALS, USA

I teach a 4th/5th grade class on Galveston Island in Texas. They are aged 10-12. I have about 14 students and would love linking with classes in other places for snail mail exchange, email etc. We will be doing a big project this year on energy, looking at alternative forms of energy and would love to have some correspondance with those in other countries to find out about the types of energy they use. To Chris, Erika, Joyce, Manuela, Lynn, and anyone else who replies outside of Canada. My class has been collecting postcards from around the world, so if you would like to exchange postcards with my class - my kids would be more than thrilled as we have not yet made contact with anyone from your Countries. Re:Preteen ePALS, Thailand

Hi Chris, Would you be interested in doing a postcard swap with some Thai students? We can send a postcard with a bit of information about Thailand and ourselves to each of your students if you could do the same in return? Our students are in Grade Five, there are 100 of them (in four classes of 25) so I can match some for however many students you have. Due to time restraints it would probably just be a one time swap. Look forward to hearing from you, Tiffany

    Re:Preteen ePALS, Taiwan

G'day, Chris I'm teaching a 12 year old Taiwanese girl English, and she's looking for an ePAL. I'm sure she wouldn't mind talking to a whole class about her life in Taiwan! Her English is pretty good, at pre-intermediate level. Feel free to email me on lynnconant@epals.com Cheers Lynn Conant in Taipei

    Re:Preteen ePALS, Germany

Hello, I am a teacher from Germany. My students are between 10-12 and have studied English for 21/2 years now. We would like to do a project in two or three weeks. Would your students be interested to answer some questions about their daily school lives, e.g. subjects, lessons, starting time. In return we would answer your questions about school in Germany. Unfortunately my class won't be able to communicate with a computrer, since our computer room is currently being enlarged. We won't be able to use it up to Christmas. So all emails must go via my computer. Up to then we would have to find other ways of getting into touch (snailmail). I expreienced "varied success" myself during the past few years, so I hope I qualify for a devoted teacher. Contact: manuba@epals.com Hope to hear from you soon Manuela

    Re:Preteen ePALS, Singapore

Hi, I am writing from Singapore. I have a class of 13 year olds and I am thinking of a collaboration project where students can share videos on a range of topics/themes like "all about me", "My school" etc. Instead of just emailing, I hope we can enhance their experience communicating through the use of multimedia, with your students emailing mine and coming up with interview questions related to the themes/topics we select. My students can then create a video where they answer these questions - showing your students for example who they are, what they like, what they do during their free time or a typical day in their life. Are you interested? Please writr soon so we can get started.

    Preteen ePALS Wanted, New Zealand

My name is Chris Haar, I am a teacher at an Intermediate School in Auckland, New Zealand. I am looking for ePALS from anywhere in the world. Why learn from books when you can learn from the source? My students are aged 10 and 11. We are going to use ePALS as a way of getting to know our world. I used this last year with varied success so I am looking for committed Taachers. We can snail mail, video conference, whatever works! So lets give it a go! Chris
