Hello Yasemin, I just wanted to check in and see how things are going. Are you finding yourself organized? School started the first week in September for us, and I still am getting myself organized! It's a tough job. :) Would it be possible for you to send along a tentative date for when our classes could begin connecting? Hope to hear from you soon! Alice

    School Is In Session, USA

Hello Yasemin, I would like to know if you are still interested in connecting. School has begun and I would like to get this project underway. If possible, could you send a class list so I can assign my students to your students and decide if I will need to double up? First name is fine (last initial if the first names are the same). I will leave students to discover the rest about their new friends. Is monthly or bi-weekly communication alright with you? Which would you prefer? Snail mail or email? Hope to hear from you soon! Alice :)

    Re:6th Grade ePals, USA

Hello Melanie, Students return to school on September 4th. I would like to have our connection up and running by the mid to end of September. I will set up student email accounts as soon as possible (it will definitely be after the 4th). I have two sixth grade groups - 24 students in one and 23 students in the other. I am also open to postal mail, so if you have limited access to computers/internet we can use this as a means of communication. Were you interested in communicating bi-weekly or monthly? Hello Yasemin, Connecting bi-weekly is fine with me. We start school at the beginning of September. I will prepare my students and get email addresses set up so that when your students join you in mid September we will be ready to begin communicating. I will give you a final count of the sixth graders that will be connecting with you once school starts up. I will keep it under 15. I look forward to the friendships to come. Re:6th Grade ePals Wanted, Canada

Hello Alice, This week I got a new post closer to my house, so it will change a few things but I think it could still interest you. Instead of having only one group of intensive English, I have many groups of regular English second language. I have 2 groups of sixth graders. So, am I mistaken or you had 2 groups as well? I hope it still works for you. I can't wait to start. As for what concerns the computer room, I don't know yet because I will visit my new school this week. So, I'll tell you more as soon as I can. When exactly do you sart teaching? My first day with the students is: August 28th. Bye Mélanie

Re:We'd Like to Make Some New Friends Turkey

Hi Alice, I think 10 or 15 students are ok for 6th grades. If you wish I can increase the number. My students English is not very good, but they are very eager to communicate with different cultures. At school we have an IT lab and we have internet access all the time. I prefer bi-weekly. My school begins on 17th September and then I can arrange my students. Is it ok? Yasemin

Hello Melanie, My epals address is alicehalvorsen@epals.com. How often will your class have computer/internet access? I would like to connect bi-weekly or monthly. I am also open to postal mail. There is nothing wrong with our students writing a good old fashioned handwritten letter! :) Hope to hear from you soon. Alice Halvorsen

Hi Yasemin, How many students would you like to connect? I have two classes of about 24 students each. Connecting bi-weekly or monthly would work best for us. How often do you expect to have computer/internet access? Alice Halvoren
