    Re: Computer Programmers

I program in Python and C++. Python is probably the best place to start for beginners not C++ as lots of lines of code are needed to perform small functions vs in Python where only one or two might be needed.

    Re: Computer Programmers

I'm looking into programming, but I'm not sure where to start. I've been messing around in flash for a couple years now. I'm looking into AS3 and C. Any tips?

    Re: Computer Programmers

Hello, generally I program in C++. I study on math faculty, but we have programming as a major subject in our specialization. Also I learned PHP, Perl, and HTML, JavaScript and CSS but by myself, not in university. I'm going to work as a programmer in future, so I try to learn more.

Hello Exceldon. We do have the same experience in programming languages. I've learned all those programming languages you mentioned and I am now also taking a course in multimedia and digital fundamentals.

    Re: Computer Programmers, USA

HI.  I am Excel from the Philippines. Since high school up until now, I've acquired different knowledge about programming languages but I know it's not much. I programmed Liberty Basic, Visual Basic, Turbo Pascal, HTML(the most common), Javas, and C. Now as a student, I'm still learning to program more using different languages. Aside from programming, I do a course in Multimedia and Digital Fundamentals.

Wow. I do Basic-256 and very simple PHP and also very simple HTML. My dad can do all the stuff you do and much more, though.

Considering what you say you know, do you think you could tell me some about Java. I've pretty much adopted it as my favorite script, seeing as what it can do. I really want to learn some programming, and I know a tiny bit about it. As far as computers go, I know a lot more about them than most people.

    Re: Computer Programmers, USA

I'm attempting to learn Java programming, but my computer is 6 years old, which is, as most of you would know, old. So patience is a great virtue when working with computers.

I program mainly in C++, but I know a bit of Java and JavaScript and am fairly competent in HTML.
