    Re:Why Violent Video Games?, UK

I'm just wondering, but is the age rating different in Italy because in the UK, its an 18. What is so good about these games and how people play them so much that the people who play think its real and they do it themselves, which makes me quite upset.

Grand Theft Auto? It's a spectular game. It's true that it is violent but if used from adult or guys from 14 years and up, it's very nice.

Hi, its me again. Guys, video games are fun but don't take it too far. It may be ok to shoot in a video game(I play Medal of Honor: Heroes and Call of Duty 2, 3 Online) but its not ok to kill.

It really makes me sick even though I'm in the UK, I know what it's like, they have the same games over here. I think it's discipline, I wish there was no violent games ever.

I think the reason why people make violent games is to have fun playing and sometimes to scare people. That is what I think. Do you think I'm right or do you think I'm wrong? What do you think is the reason why people make violent games?

Oh. You wish to know why there are violent video games? Heres why. They sell well. I live in the USA. I see it from the inside. People have lost sight of whats important in their lives, look at Americas teens, although not all teens are stupid, a great many of them are. Many teens in my school are on at least one kind of drug, and have sex with each other constantly. I'm one of the few kids in the school who holds their values amongst all this. I blame it on the parents, not teaching the kids the right way. And it is true. The kids learn from the parents, like I learned from mine. America thrives on sex drugs and violence. The games sell well. I play some violent games, like I played the Medal of Honor games. But those were re-enactments of wars and such. I played for the Story line, not the violence.

I don't know why but I don't think that violent video games are good to me, they make me just think that the video games are the stuff that make the others violent, I don't really think they good.

Ok, I can understand Grand Theft Auto but Gears of War isn't all that bad. But I do understand what you're saying. I don't know how people can play that stuff. I like Kingdom Hearts better.

I don't know. I think that it's because people who make video games are older teenagers. Older teenagers like that kind of stuff.

Dude, I am for you. Although I love Halo and Gears of War, I still hate those games like San Andres. I mean, who would love to cold bloodily murder innocent people. I especiallly hate with bad language and content and gore. I think that they should stick with the limits of Halo. Oh, I am Albert.

I think that companies make violent video games because kids like them. New games like Gears Of War and ever Call Of Duty 3 have a lot of blood in them. Kids like to play these games because they (hopefully) know they can't kill people in real life.

I don't think so. I think they just have the resources to do so (like graphic capabilities) and so on. I think they don't really care if it is too violent but it isn't like they're trying to turn the world into monsters. It's just like drinking. Drink responsibly, Play responsibly.

Hi, my name is Justin. I think they make violent video games because they make lots of money and another reason is that they maybe want kids to become violent adults. That's what I think. What do you think? Please write back to me.
