    Re: Folk Dances

Hello. I think samba and tango are cold sport-ball dances. I do it too. And I love it so much! I also go to folk dance classes for 7 years. We learn Harian, Kazakh, Tatar, Ukrainian, Belarusan, Ossetian, Spain, Italian, and Russian of course. It's interesting! Bye.

    Re:Folk Dances in Turkey, Romania

Hi. I like very much Turkish dances, but I think that Turkish dances are difficult. I saw some Turkish dances at the festival "CARPATI". This festival is in Romania in August, when folk dancers from Europe come here to dance. It's fabulous. I hope you'll write me soon about dance festivals from your countries. Bye

    Re:Folk Dances?, Romania

Hi Jessica, In our country, folk dances and the tradition are very important for us. I did modern dances 3 years, but I like folk dances more than moderns. With folk dances, we have the chance to view all world and to meet new people. It's very nice. Now, I love them very much. See you later! Bye

    Re:Folk Dances?, USA

Hi I'm Jessica. In the US we don't really have folk dances. We still have square dancing and stuff but some modern dances are lean wit it rock wit it, 2 step and walk it out.

    Re:Folk Dances?, USA

Hi, my name is Maia. I like to dance too, but I only do Middle Eastern dances, and most of them are from Turkey or Isreal. Those are folk dances. What are your dances like? Are they fast or slow? What is the music like? I hope to hear from you soon. Maia

    Re:Folk Dances?, USA

It sounds fun to dance. I dance a lot with my friends, but not folk dance. We mostly dance to hip hop or rap. -Grace

    Re:Folk Dances?, USA

We don't really have any American folk dances. Native Americans have dances at their Pow-Wows (those are tribal parties that the public can visit) and in the South, we have square dancing. Rachel (PS, My french teacher is from Romania.)

    Folk Dances

Hi. I am Larysa. I am from Romania. I like very much to dance. My favourite dances are folk dances. We have a lot of different costumes here, and each region has it's own costume. We have 4 main regions here, Muntenia, Transylvania, Banat, and Moldova, and each region has 4-5 counties, with a costume for each area, I guess. I want to know as much as I can about folk dances of each country. I am waiting for your replies. Larysa
