    Re: Japanese words?, Japan

Hi, my name is Jennifer. I know a little of the Japanese language since I watch a lot of anime. I learn most of it there. I actually want to learn more Japanese. I am a big fan of anime and mangas.

Konnichiwa watashi no namae wa Asante desu. These are the words I know. I want to learn and speak Japanese. The reason is I would like to go to Japan when I'm older. I would like to explore your culture and your food. *bows*

    Hello. I'm Japanese.

Ohayo" stands for  "Ohayou Gozaimasu "

It means  " You are early in this morning,  I hope to your nice day "

But now,  you can hear in Japan anyplace and anytime, because "ohayo" is commonly greeting like "Hello".

    Re: Japanese words?, Japan

Many people in foreign countries learned Japanese in school or from family members or friends. I became really interested in the culture of Japan years ago and I started to teach myself Japanese. I could give you a few dictionaries worth of Japanese words and phrases I know.

    Re: Re:Japanese words?, Australia

Penelope, technically, you spelled both words wrong. You typed it in the Romanji form which basically means you wrote it out the way you say it. I'm not saying you're wrong. It's just that traditional Japanese is usually written in Japanese symbols.
