    Re: Climate in UK

I live on the East Coast of the United States.  We have more trees and hills than you do in the dry grasslands, Will.  We get a lot of snow in the winter and a lot of sun and warm temperatures in the summer months.  I'm interested in the climate of places outside of the United States.  What's it like in Australia?  Or in China?

We are learning about climates in school right now.  The climate is your usual weather pattern.  I live in a dry grassland climate--we have hot dry summers and cold snowy winters.  I live in the middle of the United States.  What is your climate like?

    Re: Climate in UK

I would love to visit the UK.  I live in the middle of the US and we get all four seasons too.  In the spring (right now) we have a lot of wind and rain.  Sometimes we have tornadoes.  The temperature is around 50 dgrees F.  In the summer it is hot and dry.  Also very windy.  It is around 80-90 degrees F.  In the fall it is really nice.  The temperatures are around 60-70 degrees F.  The leaves change colors.  The winter is cold, very cold. It is around 20-30 degrees but sometimes it gets even colder.  The wind makes is even colder.  This year we had days off of school because it was too cold to stand outside and wait for the bus.  We don't get a lot of snow but we do get ice storms.

    Re: Climate in UK

I live in south England. It is cold here from November-February, sometimes with snow, and always with frost. From March-June we can expect almost anything but from June to September it is quite hot. October is when all the leaves fall off the trees and it starts to get colder. Hope this helps, from Anna
