    Hello Lea,

I posted about a year ago for this project, and ended up in a similar one with a group of classes. It was a very valuable experience for the kids. Our students are located in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico and so our students are quite knowledgable about the ancient Mexican cultures, in particular our local Mayan culture.  I have two groups of 6th graders. They are at about an Intermediate level in both English speaking and writing. My groups our a little larger than yours, but I could pair up some of my weaker students with a stronger peer to help them communicate more easily and match the numbers. Let us know if you're interested in working on the project together.

    Thanks,

    Martise

I am from Russia. My students are 9-14 years old. They study English as a second language. Epals letters is one of the ways to practice English. My e-mail is elena6002@epals.com. Elena

I teach social studies (ancient world cultures) in rural Missouri.  Most of my students will never leave the state much less the country, so I am looking for ways to expand their exposure to the world.  Would be interested in any country. For most, English is the only language they speak.  I have two classes of about 20 students each.  They are very excited about learning from other kids their own age!
