    Re: Global Warming

Global warming is just a cycle that the earth goes through. There is still ice mass from the last ice age. When all the ice melts water levels rise and then freezes over again into another ice age..then as time goes by its starts to melt. We can't blame ourselves for causing global warming, but we could be doing a lot more to prevent it from happening any sooner.

    Re: Global Warming

A lot of people say global warming is our fault. Well what are we "doing wrong?" I think that global warming is just Earth's way of changing. I may be wrong but when I hear someone say "global warming" I think of the world adapting to our living here, and bettering itself for our benifit. Animals die, yes it may sometimes be our fault because we litter our trash and food outside, then the animals eat it and get sick or maybe all these animals dying is just their natural process..no one knows

    Re: Global Warming

I agree. All of the melted water is going to the South Pole.

    Re: Global Warming

I think you are right. If we don't do something about it, the global warming will just get worse. My family has started recycling and using those cool looking light bulbs. At least we are doing something.

    Re: Global Warming

I don't think that global warming really exsists because what proof do we even have? Who made up global warming anyway? The earth is actually cleaner than it was 100 years ago. The fumes from our cars could be effecting how much pollution the world has, but really not that much. It's not our fault that the animals are dying.

You are absolutely right, it is our fault that the world is falling apart!

    Re: Global Warming

Global warming didn't exsist before human beings were created. Global warming is partly caused by pollution, greenhouse gases, cars and machines warming the earth! So it is our fault!!

    Re: Global Warming

I agree with everyone that global warming is happening, but I don't think that it is man-made. If it was man-made, it would be caused by CO2, but none of the climate changes in the past 1,000 years can be explained by CO2. Also, the science behind global warming is weak and doesn't add up. Climate has always changed, even before humans had industry and cars and other pollutants. A really important point is the post-war economic boom. That was when industry started picking up big time and people started polluting alot more. If the theory was correct, the temperature should have increased along with the CO2 but it actually decreased for over 40 years. I am posting this because I want to get the point across that this isn't a catastrophic event, and we shouldn't be as scared of it as environmentalists and politicians are trying to make us.

    Re: Global Warming

Global warming may slowly be happening, but it's not caused by us. Scientists and environmentalists are trying to argue that CO2 emission are preventing solar rays from escaping the atmosphere, which causes the earth to trap heat. Yet, studies have been conducted which show the relationship between CO2 and temperature. They don't coordinate at all. CO2 is actually only 0.054% of the atmosphere. Humans really don't need to worry, because we produce less than 10% of that carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. Volcanoes and oceans actually produce the vast majority of it. People can relax now, because there is too much worrying, and too much money is being spent to "save the Earth" from something that we really don't have much of an influence on.

    Re: Global Warming

We don't have to change our lifestyles to avoid global warming. Just plant more stuff so photosynthesis removes all the carbon dioxide. Eventually, we will run out of oil to burn.

    Re: Global Warming

Yes, I think it is mostly our fault, but it is only partly caused by global warming. We need to realize that if we don't take action immediately, we will be living on a polluted planet and we won't be able to do anything about it. Some things you can do are to bike or walk as much as you can and compost and recycle too! It's not that hard to help but if everyone does a little, it will make a big difference!

    Re: Global Warming

Hello my name is Catherine. It's very hard to believe that we alone are causing the earth to warm up. the earth is just going through a natural cycle. I'm from Chicago and it is still very cold here and were in the month of May so how is the earth getting warmer???

    Re: Global Warming

I agree with you about this. Why don't we all do something about it? Scientists and any other special people can't really tell us if it's true or not. Yeah, I think places with lots of water and mountains will definitely melt all over the world.

    Re: Global Warming

That's the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Global warming isn't caused by us! The earth heating up and cooling down is part of God's plan and we can't do anything about God's plans.
