Bonjour! Buenos Dias! Hello!

I saw your response to the epals request from Australia and wondered if your 6th graders would like to communicate with 6th graders from North Carolina, USA who will be studying South America soon. We have almost seventy 11-12 year olds who are English speaking and would enjoy learning some basic words in another language, but mostly to learn about the culture there. Although we have so many students, we could limit our emails to 10 for your students. What part of the school year are you in now? Are you still interested?

My name is Kelly and I teach a cultural exchange course in Livingston, Montana USA. We would love to work on a project with your class. I'm interested in having my students correspond with your students. I teach computer applications to seventh grade students (ages 11 - 12) at a middle school in Casselberry, Florida. I am new to ePals so will be a learning experience for both myself and the students.

Hi!  My name is Janet and I'm a teacher in the USA.  I have 4th and 5th grade social studies students who are 10 and 11 years old. 

I would love to share teaching ideas with you.  A colleague and I are trying to get a grant so that we can travel to Australia in May.  We would like to get to know some teachers through email...share ideas and then come and visit their classrooms in person. 

Four years ago, I visited several classrooms in the Czech Republic on a teacher exchange and I just loved it.  Since that time, I have been wanting to tour other countries and visit their schools too.

Would you be interested in exchanging classroom projects and ideas?  I'm sure that several of my students would love to be pen pals with some of your students too, unless you've already put restrictions on them!  :-)

Thanks for the offer, however I have been overwhelmed with offers from the United States of America.  I'm not sure that it would work as I only have about 6 - 10 students that are keen to write.
