    Re: Habitats Project

This is great!  I did get your epal  email.  We are working on biome research reports.

We are learning about animals within the biome. Animals in the food web and adaptations are being explored.

We followed a detailed outline for finding facts on the location/climate, producers, and animals in the specific biomes.   Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Re: Habitats Project

    Hi there,

This all sounds great.  I am new to epals as well and I actually emailed you from my hotmail account as well since my epals account keeps asking me to update a profile, which I have done numerous times.  In the meantime, please let me know what type of project outline you have or we can work together on this.

    Thanks!

    Liz

    Re: Habitats Project

We would love to be epals with you!
My 4th grade class, in a suburb north of Chicago, Illinois, is also working on ecosystems and habitats.  We would love to be epals with you!  We are new to epals but are enthusiastic to learn.  Your field trip sounds wonderful!  How fortunate you are to live close to such ecosystems in nature.  We on the other hand live in the suburbs and have a totally different type of ecosystem.  We have cold, ice and snow - last year especially! We would love to be epals and share with you not only on ecosystems but also possibly book pals.

We look forward to hearing from you.

    Re: Habitats Project

Hi!  I teach 4th grade in Chapel Hill, NC and we are starting our animal adaptations unit very soon.  We are located in the Piedmont region, right smack in between the Mountains and Coastal Plains.  We have a couple field trips planned that tie in with the curriculum and I would love to incorporate some of your ideas into our unit.  Let me know what type of timeline you are looking at.  Please check out our website too for information about our class.  www.mscoleman.com

I look forward to hearing back!

    Thanks!

    Re: Habitats Project

I have 18 10-11 year old students.  We are studying biomes, food chains, and how they interact.  We are from Missouri and would like to email another class about the Habitats project.

    Thanks

    Habitats Project

    Hello!

My 4th grade class here in Lantana, Florida is beginning a science unit on plant and animal habitats.  I am interested in developing epal partnerships with similar grade level classes around the world that would be interested in learning about south Florida's unique features-the Everglades, saltwater marshes, and coral reefs.  In turn, we would like to learn about habitats in the area of the world where you are located.

Our school, Chancellor Charter School, is located in Lantana Florida about 3 miles from the Atlantic Ocean.  We have upcoming field trips to the Everglades and and a saltwater marsh.  In both places we plan to study the animals and plants that survive and thrive in such ecosystems.

We can share our information with you through e-mails, "snail mail", sharing pictures we take on our field trips, and hopefully, a video that we are intending to put together that showcases our area.  Are you interested in partnering with us on this project?  I have 21 4th graders that are very enthused about sharing their information with you all and learning more about different parts of the world.  Most important, they are enthused about making world wide friends.

    Hoping to hear from you!
