    Re: looking for classrooms

    Tony:

I too am very interested in the way we are project but have not been active through epals to date.  Since I noticed your email went out last October, I was hoping that you had things figured out by now.  Can we work together?

I only have two sophomore girls in my technology class, and they only speak English.

    Thank you,

    Tammy Fehringer

    Re: looking for classrooms

    Hello Tony,

My name is Brian Boyes.  I am a music teacher in Vermont, USA.  My high school music students are interested in participating in the Way We Are project as well.  We are interested in augmenting the project with an exchange of digital stories  - captured sound and images from our communities and families.   We are hoping to integrate our experiences with the project and our personal digital stories into a perfomance piece using music, recorded sound and imagery.

Would you and your students be interested in partnering for The Way We Are as well as share  digital stories to enhance the curriculum?

You can find out more about our school music program (which has special focus in global music) at  www.cabotschool.org  - just click on the music link to the left.

Thanks and I hope to hear from you.

    Re: looking for classrooms

    Dear Tony,

    Dear teachers,

My name is Degenal Santos. I am from Brazil. I am an English teacher.
I work with students from 13 to 18 years old. Since our first language is Portuguese, we created an International Club to motivate students.
My idea is helping them to enhance their English and learn about other cultures through a Pen or Key Pal Project.

Last year I went to Trinidad and Tobago with a group of 20 students as part of a student exchange Project we develop with them. So,they came to visit us a couple of months ago. This International experience helped our students to understand better the world we live.

So, would you like to be involved in a Pen or Key Pal Project with our school ?

THANKS A LOT FOR YOUR HELP.
I BELIEVE THAT OUR YOUTH HAS ALL THE ENERGY AND DESIRE THEY NEED  TO MAKE OUR WORLD BETTER. AS EDUCATORS, ALL WE NEED TO DO  IS  JUST GIVE THEM THE CHANCE.

    Sincerely,

    DEGENAL SANTOS -
Coordinator of THE INTERNATIONAL CLUB OF  ETEC HIGH SCHOOL

If you´re interested you could start by sending me an answer and we could exchange our students e-mail addresses and schedule a date to begin corresponding. It´s actually very easy. You just have to follow the step-by-step project suggested here. That´s what we are doing. My e-mail address is : dennisfortner@epals.com

    Regards,

    Dennis
