Re: I am just wondering: who thinks war is good?

Well, I'm fifty-fifty on war.  It is good because it can stop the total annihilation of a culture, but the attacking culture still survives and is able to flourish peacefully.  The disadvantage is the death and destruction, so I guess we need to be moderate and gauge threats appropriately.

Re: I am just wondering: who thinks war is good?

I think that war, as horrible as it is, is necessary for survival.  As much as I would like to be able to resolve situations peacefully, there are some people in this world who just won't.  It is these people who make wars necessary.  I believe that wars help defend people, and I am proud of all the armed forces wiling to sacrifice their lives so that we can have peace.  I don't love war any more than the next guy, but sadly, it must be.  Just my opinion.

I think that war is both good and bad. Good, because it can provide more territory for the people to live in, if the country that declares was got too crowded.  Bad, because it brings death and destruction to entire cities.

Well Rumi if we did not spend money on wars our country could be taken over, I mean I want a greener world to but how would our troops and soldiers survive without ammunition and weapons?

I agree with you that if half the money spent on wars was spent on enviromental stuff instead, it would be a greener world.  But war is neccessary or at least I think so. I think I willl with hold my reasons, due to the fact that they might offend others.

But before you judge me and say I dont know what war does, My brother whom I love very much is in Iraq.

I agree. I think war is just a very uncivilized way to settle an argument or debate. I think we should not have rival countries or things like that. We should find a way to settle things in a verbal manner and not a physical one.

    to Rumi ,

No one smarter than a baby likes war.

    1. It wastes a lot of money($)

    2. It depresses me because of all the lost of life.

HI there.  My name is Kim and I think you are right.  War is terrible. I hate it too.  I live in the UK.

I am just wondering: who thinks war is good?

Hi. I am Rumi and I am Canadian. I think that wars are bad and that if half of the money that was spent on war was spent on the environment, then we would have a greener world. Just a thought from the Canadian kid, Rumi.
