HI Charmaine - So sorry for the delay in replying. I surveyed my students regarding their eating habits for 1 week and we started our unit on nutrition. I am in the process of compiling their breakfast food choices, along with photos at snack & lunch,  to send to a school in Spain. If you are still interested, I would love for your class to participate. Please wirte back. Thanks. Pat

    Hi Pat,

I see you posted this about a month ago. Have you started your project? Are you still looking for partner schools?

I realize that Sonja's email account is disabled. However, I'm intrigued with her idea and would like to pursue with other classes around the world. I teach Kindergarten. This would be a wonderful opportunity for my students to study the eating habits of children around the world and correlate to nutrition and heathy eating. Please respond to me if you are interested in partipating in this project. Thanks, Pat Genovese - Los Angeles, CA

Healthy Food - Eating habits in different countries

    Dear teachers,

I am looking for teachers who are interested in doing a project about “healthy food – eating habits in different countries”. I would like my students (11-13 years old) to get to know what kind of food is really healthy food (nutritional values, vitamins, minerals, things children/teenagers need to stay/get healthy) and that they learn something about eating habits in different countries. I would like to know what children/teenagers eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner in different countries, and my students describe their eating habits for the children/teenagers in other countries. Perhaps it would be possible to add photos; I will give just one thing for homework during the project: take photos of the food you eat. I would also like to offer to give you all the information, letters and emails that receive me, so that you also could do a project like this in your classes/school. I would like to contact schools all around the world, in Asia, Europe, Australia, USA, etc.

So please, if you are interested and you want to write an email, I would appreciate that and I am looking forward to everything I can get about eating habits all around the world. Thank you very much,

    Yours sincerely,

    Sonja Zimmermann
