Re: Share the weird/important experiences you've been through in life

Hi. Safira! My name is Kristin and I am from Texas. I am striving to become a writer as well so we're on the same page. I have moved 3 times in 4 years so I have had a lot of life changing experiences.

For example, my mother has been married three times so oddly enough, I already know how to pick out the "good" guys from the "bad" ones.  In the 9th grade, my best friend killed himself and then in the 11th grade one of my really good friends passed away. It was definitely an indicator to me that life is too short.  My little sister has cerebral palsy and she is 16 years old and has the mind capacity of a 7 year-old. She had a seizure on my birthday and I spent the day in the hospital. A sign to me to never take advantage of the ones you love because you never know when something bad will happen that will take them away from you forever.  I think my last life changing moment to talk about is getting adopted when I was 3 by my tia. She took me in and has given me a home and cared for me like I was her own child. If it wasn't for her I'd probably be living in a housing apartment rather than in a 4 bedroom house on the nicer side of town.

Share the weird/important experiences you've been through in life

Don't be creeped out by the title of this thread, I'm just rather curious. Ever since I decided I wanted to be a writer, I had a growing interest in human society and human behaviour in general. I always ask people if anything life-changing or odd happened in their life before, just so I make a character in my stories a little more realistic. Don't be shy, I'm open to anything!

You can also share other quirks. Have any phobias, personality quirks, an item that's special to you, etc? Include it.

    ~ Safira!
