Re: Letters to Santa to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation

    Dear Sue,

The letters can be written on any type of paper and they need to be placed in a stamped envelope. That would be the only hurdle. If my class accepted all the letters from across the United States without American postage, we would have to buy it all ourselves. Talk to the teachers and see if they would be interested. I understand the part about the postage can be a problem for families around this time of the year. I asked my parents to supply their child with one stamped envelope and the majority of them brought it in. I would need the letters by the 23rd, since my school goes on break for the holidays. If the teachers are interested and would like to particpate my school address is listed below

Re: Letters to Santa to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation

    Dear Terri,

I teach Computers to students in Grades 4-8 (about 250 kids) and would love to get more details about your project.  Since I only see each group once a week, I may need cooperation from homeroom teachers, and can't guarantee our participation until I speak with them.  I sure will do my best to get at least some of my students to participate, though.  Please forward any other info you might have about this contest.

    Thanks,

    Sue Bailey

Letters to Santa to benefit Make-A-Wish Foundation

I am looking for classrooms(any age, any country, letter can be written in any language) to help my class on writing letters to their holiday icon(doesn't have to be Santa). A department store in the United States is donating a dollar for each letter received to the Make-A-Wish Foundation which provides last wishes for children who are battling devasting diseases. Our school just lost a student to cancer and the Make-A-Wish Foundation granted him his last wish. This is still fresh in my students minds and when they heard about the contest they asked me to post on epals and appeal for help. My students thought it would be wonderful not only if they wrote letters but children from all over the world joined together to make a child's wish come true. Please contact me immediately at twiew@epals.com if you are interested. I  would need the letters by December 23rd to deliver them to the store.
