Well, here in the United States, where I live, name brands are important.  Here are some of the brands boys like to wear : Coogie clothing line, Ralph Lauren Polo, Tommy Hilfigure, Gucci, and all that good stuff. We love to wear shoes to shoes such as: airforce 1s, jordans, polo shoes, Timberlands, Chuck Allstars, and a lot more.

    Re: English Fashion

It's sad to know that England is so influenced by America. America was a colony, and now, it's like England is the colony. I think that the English people must try to preserve their own culture, like they do in fashion.

    Re: English Fashion

Hi Sarah!! I am from the United States. Over here, we dress mostly chic, fun, and flirty if we are very girly and want to have fun. During the summer we basically wear spaghetti strap shirts, dresses with leggings, flip-flop sandles, and sometimes a swimsuit top with shorts. During the fall and winter, we dress warmer with cardigan sweaters, fur boots with heels, faux fur trim jackets, and jeans with a t-shirt or a hoodie. Our main colors are purple, pink, black, and white. What are the main colors in England? What kind of shoes do you wear in each season?

    Re: English Fashion

There are a lot of different styles of fashion here in England.  I am English and I have been to America and I think the styles are very different, but they are all unique.  Actually, they are not totally different to English fashions, but I think Americans just explore things more.

    Re: English Fashion

Well, a lot of the English fashion is based on American clothes, but they have been changed by English designers. I know this because I am an American but was born in England. I have been to America and have seen lots of ideas that England has copied. In my opinion, you can not say we are independent because you don't know.

Well, the style around here is a bit crazy! Right now, every one seems to be wearing Uggs and Primark stuff. Leg warmers are popular as well.

    Re: English Fashion

Well, people over here in England mostly wear mini skirts.

When it gets cold, we wear long pink dresses - well any colour, really-  and then we end up tripping over them!  We will also wear a warm cardigan sweater when it is cold.

    Re: English Fashion

Well, most girls go to this fashion shop called "Primark." It is really cheap but lovely clothes. And some girls, like me, go to "RIVER ISLAND."

It a bit expensive, but they have got lovely clothes  there and it is very unique.

    English Fashion

Hello. Even though a lot of England is influenced by America, our fashion is quite independent. We have a lot of urban fashion, including fashion from 20-30 years ago (vintage)! Please ask me anything you would like to know about English fashion! Sarah, London
