Hello!

My name is Shannon O'Brien.  I am teacher in Boston, Massachusetts, USA.  I know that you didn't mention the USA in your list of countries that you would like to connect with - but I thought I would try to contact you regardless. 

I teach a group of 4th grade (age 9-10) students who were supposed to connect with a school in England.  That connection fell through.  The project that you described is exactly what we were hoping to work on.  Our school is VERY diverse and quite unique.  Our students are mostly African American and Hispanic (only 1% of our student population is white - which still amazes me!) - with the majority being African American.

I would love to expose my students to a culture that is VERY different from theirs and I do believe that I would find that in your group of students.  If you are interested in working together please let me know!  If  you aren't but know someone who is please let me know that as well.

We have an amazing amount of technology at our disposal and would love to create a documentary with our students and hold a cultural fair at the culmination of our project.

Hi there!

I teach third graders (ages 8 - 10) in Southern California. We are also trying to connect globally with a classroom to learn about the world. We are in the process of making a mini documentary about our school and our customs. We would love to share it with you once it is completed. Many of my students' families are from Mexico. The culture of my students is a very rich mixture of Mexico and the United States. Our school year goes to the end of June, and we would love to correspond with you. Each of my students' has an epals account and is learning about emailing.

We are CLass 4/5 (9-11 yrs) from Lahore, Pakistan and we are very interested to connect with classrooms from ALL OVER THE WORLD. Our project topic this semester is "Global Cultures" and we intend to end the project with a documentary ABOUT PAKISTAN for children abroad AND a second documentary ABOUT THE WORLD for the school children here in Lahore.

We would love to learn about the way you live/the way you dress/your festivals/how and what you eat/customs/mores, and we would love to show and tell you the same about us. We are very intrerested to connect with classrooms from Latin America, Pacific Ocean islands, East Asia, Russia, Middle East and Eastern Europe.

And at the end of our exchange, we would love to send the documentary that we (will LEARN TO) put together about our culture AND another documentary about YOUR CULTURE to our friends here.
