    Re: Epals wanted!

    Hi
My students (11 years old) are learning English as a second language.  They come from Sicily, in the South of Italy,

The are looking for ePals who speak English as a second language to share a project on The Way We Are theme.
We have a Social Network in our school website in which your students may subscribe and get involved in our Forum with topics about their lives.
Lessons will start on 19th February.
Would you like to Join us?

    Re: Epals wanted!

Dear Fehim, I am so happy to hear from you as we are SO ready to get started:)! Again, I teach at an elementary school in Charlotte, North Carolina in the United States. We have 5 fourth grade classes with approximately 24 students in each class. So we would LOVE to partner up with your group of 100 to exchange cultural lessons and learn more about each other. How does this sound to you? Take care, Lisa

    Jill,

I teach a 4th grade class of girls in Charlotte, NC.  Would you be interested in "buddying up" to do a project?

I have some native Spanish speakers in my class as well as native English speakers.

Please let me know if you are interested!

    Thanks,

    Lisa

    Deanna,

I saw your response to the post seeking pen pals for The Way We Are project. If you are interested, I have a group of 20 English Language Learners- 5th grade level that are eager to connect with students from a different walk of life. My students are primarily first or second generation immigrants from Mexico, and have unique stories and dreams based on their cultural lens. Please let me know if you would be interested in collaborating.

    Jill

    Hello Petra!

Are you still looking for ePals for any of your students?  I teach a class of 23 fourth grade girls in North Carolina, USA.  Please let me know if you're still available to "buddy up"!  :)

    Re: Epals wanted!

    Sabine,

I am in the process of finding ePals for the students I work with. I am a literacy interventionist and I work with small groups of students of all ages in Green Bay, Wisconsin, of the United States. The students with whom I hope to do this project with are 4th and 5th graders, ages 9 - 10. I realize this wouldn't match your ages exactly, but perhaps we could still make something work. I would have 9 students working on this project. Please let me know if you think we can work something out. Email me using the address, dlkehler@epals.com. I hope to hear from you!

    Deanna

    Hi Petra!

My name is Shannon.  I am a teacher in Boston, Massachusetts (USA).  I know that you teacher 60 students - but I have about 16 really eager students who are looking to participate in the "The Way We Are" project.  I was wondering if you might have a smaller group of around 16 students who might be able to participate along with my students.  I teach in an afterschool program and we are looking to learn more about the world!  My students are in the 4th grade (average age of 10) and would love to communicate in English with your students!  They are all below grade level - while English is their first language they need to practice communicating using proper English.  Let me know if you're interested.

    Shannon
