Re: Do you have questions about America??

Hi my name is Emily. I am from America. Well I'm glad you want to know about America! My day goes like this. I wake up at 6:00 and get ready for school, no uniforms. We can wear whatever we want and then I walk to school. At 7:15 I go to the school cafeteria and I eat breakfast. Then at 7:45 school starts. We go to a homeroom and we play games and listen to gms tv! Then we greet each other and play activities. After we go to science and we learn about chemicals and do projects. My next period is social studies! We learn about all the way people live and right now we are studying Asia!  Then we have high math lab. Then recess, then we all meet up at the cafeteria and we eat. Then we have reading. Reading is ok but still it's kind of boring. Then I have math. After math we have another math class. Then I have field hockey. Our 9 hour school day ends and we go home. We eat something and then we do whatever we do at home! We have 2 pages of homework each week and also our summer vacation is 3 months long. Do you go to school at 6:30-9:30 in the morning or at night? Yes school is boring sometimes. So what do you eat there? We eat hot dogs, rice, pizza, cheeseburgers, chicken noodles, pasta, and spaghetti!

Re: Do you have questions about America??

Hello Olivia, I`m glad to read your passage. My favorite sport is basketball and I`m really happy because our school has just set up a basketball club! We can play on PE classes. As for food, I like strawberries best. In fact, I don`t like traditional Chinese food.

In our hometown, we just regard math, Chinese, chemistry, physics and English as our important lessons because it`s connected with our final exam. This exam can change our lives. So most of us don`t think it`s necessary to learn other subjects such as art and music. Some boys just sleep!

I love studying languages and I want to be a clothing designer some day. However, at the moment I have to face so many numbers, which make me feel sick. Others always say, you must suffer from these three years, there`s no another choices. Maybe that`s right.

But no matter how hard the life is now, I won`t give up my dream. It`s the only thing that can make me really happy.

By the way, what`s your achievement?

Re: Do you have questions about America??

Hi, I am pure American. My name is Olivia. I love to hear about other countries. I would love to hear more about China.

Here in Miami, we go to school Monday - Friday, from 7;50 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. School is kind of fun however, we have some very boring days.   Our school is a big supporter of team spirit and having fun. Every once in a while, we have a spirit week. We dress up and look different then we normally do. Our weekend are filled with fun activities.

My favorite sport is horse back riding. I compete in shows and was ranked number rider in Florida.

What is your favorite sport ?

    What is your favortie food?

I would love to hear much more about your culture!

Re: Do you have questions about America??

    Hi Lillian,

I am American and I am also a middle school student. I think your school ways are so cool! How can the people you mentioned stay up until 2:00 in the morning?? Wow I can never do that! Well, in my school I wake up at 6:00...I have to be at school at 7:40. I have many subjects in school such as history, math, language arts, spanish, religion, music, and computers. I end school at 3:00. I want to go to a great high school so I guess I am kind of crazy about my studies...so...yeah. Well, I hope to hear back from anyone!

Re: Do you have questions about America??

Hi! How you study in China is very interesting to me. In my school, most people start school at 7:40 but I am in the yearbook commitee and we have yearbook sessions at 7:05 on Mondays and Wednesday. School ends at 3 o'clock and we have fridays and saturdays off.

Re: Do you have questions about America??

Hi, I`m a Chinese. I love America and I`m really interested in it.

It`s said that  American people are more open-minded than Chinese, and the way you study is quite different from ours. I wonder if you can tell me something about your daily life, like something about school life, vacations and so on.

I`m a middle school student. I usually go to school at 6:30 and finish it at 9:30. As for weekends, we have Sunday-off half a month. To be honest, school days are really boring here, and many of us are crazy about their studies, who often stay up until 2:00am.

      Waiting for your reply!

    Hello everyone!

My names Justina and I live in Massachusetts in North America. I was wondering if you guys have any questions or comments about the U.S.A.

You guys can ask me anything and if you reply from far away..maybe we could have a conversation and exchange things from our country.
