Sabine - thats sounds great. My email is rchallinor@epals.com I aldready have a questionnaire my class has completed and can send this to your email direct. I have added my email here. If you are still okay to go ahead with this I have a two week time slot where my pupils will be happy to communicate with yours over email. I can either send you the class questionnaire (with gathered data from our school) we can get both sets of pupils to communicate via their own emails. Please email me to confirm. In addition I do have pupils learning German so could communicate with yours in either English or German.

    Best Regards

    Richard Challinor

    Hello Florencia!

We are a Grade 3/4 class in Toronto, Canada (8-10 year olds).  We would love to learn about Argentina through the The Way We Are project!  We can start very soon (as soon as Wednesday, April 8th).

Thank you, and we look forward to hearing from you!

Re: Looking for many epals all around the world

I am also looking to do the same thing0 and we have a classroom from Brazil and Austria.  But I would like as many countries as possible.  I have created a webite asking questions about teens around the world0 favorite books, free time activities, biggest problems they face, their culture's biggest problem, typical school day.... I just want as many countries as possible.  It seems like you already are putting that info together.  I can send you administrative privledges for my wiki and you could just post collective responses.  Would you be interested?

Re: Looking for many epals all around the world

    Hello Richard,

I'm very much interested in a project with an English speaking class. We are absolutely able to complete your survey. I teach pupils from 11-16 years in different classes. Especially the older ones need some practice of the English language in reading and writing. So a project like this would do very well. Please let me know if you are interested in an email contact.

By the way: we live in Cologne, Germany. Our school is a secondary modern school near the city centre. We have pupils from different nationalities and religions.

I'm looking forward to your answer.

    Yours

    Sabine Piehl

Re: Looking for many epals all around the world

Stacy I  have 2x groups of 13-14 year olds (60 in total). They are already gathering data about what pupils in a UK school do (culturewise). They are building a questionnaire to send out to a partner school. I would be happy to collaborate with you in your project. In exchange for providing you with some of our info would your pupils be able to complete the survey? In addition some of the pupils may wish to collaborate with yours over email, can you help?

    Best Regards

Richard Challinor - Head of IT - Chatsmore Catholic High School, Sussex, UK.

Re: Looking for many epals all around the world

    Dear Stacy

I`m Ha, Jijeong from Korea, South. I`m an English teacher at middle school in Gwangju. My students are in the second grade in middle school. I teach 5 classes consisting of almost 35 students.( one of the classes will work with your group) Their first language is Korean, but they are learning English as their second language. This year, first, I would like to do the project about what the students living other countries are like. What is similar and what is different. They would learn a lot of things from one another. ( I think this is exactly what you mentioned above, right?)  My student can send emails, photoes, vidieos, powerpoint file(their introduction) or we can talk through skycape

My second project that I would like to do with my students is making "dream book" I personally believe that "having a dream" is one of the most important factors which can encourage students to do their best at work. Through sharing their dreams ( their strength, their power and their value), I hope our students can build up their dream  to the world. Don`t you think it`s great for students to make a "dream book"? I really look forward to hearing from you soon.

    from Jijeong
