Re: Seeking teen epals for Australian teens

    Hi!

My name is Elena and I am an ESL (English as a second language) teacher at a secondary school in Latvia (west north Europe).

I am currently teaching two secondary school classes (students aged 15-17, groups of 13 and 17 students). I would like to initiate a keypal exchange with other ESL/EFL students aged 14-18+. Level is intermediate-upper intermediate. My students and I are open to any kind of cross cultural collaboration, including correspondence via emails, voice chats, video conferences, joint projects, etc.!

If you are interested, please reply and let`s arrange something interesting for our students! I would highly appreciate any contribution from Your side, either some useful advice and your fresh ideas, or active participation and collaboration!

With best wishes and looking forward to collaboration and having fun teachng/learning English together!

    Elena

Re: Seeking teen epals for Australian teens

Hi there, I have a group of 60 pupils 13-14 year olds who are currently doing an ICT project to see if More boys & girls in a Southern Hemisphere school own mobile phones than in a school in UK/Northern Hemisphere. Would your guys be willing to co-operate in a a survey - involving short pen pal correspondence? My students also would like to discuss alternative cultural hypothesis. If so we can exchange class emails.

Best Regards Richard Challinor - Head of ICT, Chatsmore Catholic High School.

    Hi,

Yes that would be great. The more epals from different areas the better.  Please contact me on stephanieh12@epals.com and we can arrange an exchange of contacts.  My students are very excited.

    Stephanie,

I would love to have my students communicate with yours.  I have all my students currently communicating with people in other areas; however, many of them have asked me to find them more.  Once I hear back from you, I will poll my students and see how many would be interested.  I am sure that I will be able to get 65 (I have far more students than you).  We are all 8th graders around the ages of 13-15 years old.  I have found that the forums take forever to work with because they need to be approved.  If you are interested please e-mail me back at mrsjohanneson@epals.com.

    Thanks,

    Tara

Re: Seeking teen epals for Australian teens

    Hi Stephanie!

I have 75 seventh graders ages 12-13. Some have been emailing with kids in Japan and some with Italy but I would like to find an additional country. Do you think your 14-15 year olds would like to communicate with my students in New Hampshire in the U.S.? We already have ePal accounts.

    Looking forward to your reply!

    Susan

Seeking teen epals for Australian teens

I am a teacher from Queensland, Australia.  This year, I have three classes of students who do multimedia which is a computer based subject so they will have access to computers regularly.  My students would love to make contact and meet students of similar ages from other countries.  We could discuss different traditions and cultures.  One class has 25 (14 - 15 year olds), one class has 25 (15 - 16 year olds) and the other has 15 (16 - 17 year olds).  Does anyone have a class who could speak to any of these?

    Thanks,

    Stephanie
