I love this idea!!!  I have 7th and 8th graders and I would be very interested in this project!!!!  Please let me know what I need to do to be involved.  I also have a class wiki and I have unlocked it for you to look at http://brockadvancedstudies.pbwiki.com/ password is global- and I would love to let the kids collaborate and come up with answers to some responses!

12-13 years looking for 5 different countries` students group will do "My dream book" project together

I`m an English teacher Gwangju, South Korea.  My students are in the second grade in middle school. I teach 5 classes consisting of almost 30 students.( I hope each class work with different countries` groups) Their first language is Korean, but they are learning English as their second language. This year at first, I would like to do the project about what the students living other countries are like. What is similar and what is different. They would learn a lot of things from one another.  My student can send emails, photoes, vidieos, powerpoint file(their introduction) or we can talk through skycape. They can really "meet" with your students visually

My second project that I would like to do with my students is making "dream book" I personally believe that "having a dream" is one of the most important factors which can encourage students to do their best at work. Through sharing their dreams ( their strength, their power and their value) and writing letters to their world friends, I hope our students can build up their dream to the world. Don`t you think it`s great for students to make a "dream book"? I`m very euthusiastic and I`ll do my best to lead this project to the success.

My roughly plan is  first semester : cross cultural project ( knowing the students` lives living in other countries)

Second semester : My dream book project ( knowing my strengh, power , weak point, and value and finally I want to be..)

March and April  :ntroduction video file sharing

May            :Their school life or Afterschool activity ppt sharing

June            :About our countries( food, culture, holidays, tourist attraction)

July - Summer vacation : Something fun!

August - Detember : My dream book project

I know most western countries school start new semester`s in September. It`s ok with me. You can continue this project with your new students.

but if you want to do this projcet with me only during the first semester , that`s fine.
