Re: Host Our Bear Around the World

You're idea sounds interesting and you can count us in here in North Carolina.  I'm curious about the details, is your bear traveling with a some questions or can we send it back with something that symbolizes our home? It sounds like such a great idea I might want to borrow it if you don't mind sharing. When you get a chance shoot me a e mail.

    Thanks!

Re: Host Our Bear Around the World

    Hi Benjamin,

I teach 3rd grade in the Northeast and was looking to do something similiar with a native animal to our state. If you have time and wouldn't mind, could you please email the specifics of how you plan to get your bear from one place to the next and any other details you might want to share.

I teach a unit on map skills at the start of the school year (Sept.) and thought having our "Moose" journey around the globe for the year would be an awesome way for us to learn about maps!

I appreciate your time and help!!

    Shannon- my email GradySh@epals.com

    Many thanks!

We'd be happy to care for the beautiful bear if he'd like to visit Tashlak rural school #11, in Fergana Valley of Uzbekistan.  My students would be interested in following him/her along the way also. Yesterday we celebrated Navruz holiday. Welcome to Uzbekistan. Thanks and good luck, dear friends - Rustamjon Badalov. tashlak11@epals.com

Hello Benjamin and other participants of the project.

I'm a teacher of English from Russia. The bear is one of the symbols of our country and our doors are always open for bears from everywhere.:)

I've got a group of students aged 8-9 and they'll be happy to take part in this project. I'm very interested in details. Please e-mail me if you'd like to have our class as a partner. My e-mail: YelVo@epals.com

I am interested in helping you with this. This sounds like fun! Can you tell me more about how this works? How will this project operate? I may be interested in doing something like this as well if ok with you.

    Thank you!

Re: Host Our Bear Around the World

I have a classroom of first and second graders in Alexandria, VA just outside of Washington, D.C.  We would graciously accept your bear with open arms, take pictures of it in our city, and send it off to its next destination.  Will you be posting pics or placemarks of its journey, e.g. on Google Earth?  We would love to learn about your bear's travels.

    Hey!

I teach 3rd grade in rural North Carolina.  Since the areas north of us are filled with bears, we feel it's only appropriate that we join in hosting your bear.  Thanks, Mr. Alexander
