    Re: Swine Flu

I live in Canada and so many people have the H1N1 virus. Now there is a vaccine in Canada for H1N1.

    Re: Swine Flu

People have died, that is true. but those who have died of swine flu died because they did not go to get their "cold" checked on by a docter. News and radio, even papers were telling people to get any flu or cold like symptoms checked out by a docter, but they chose not to listen. The best thing to do is stay calm, AND WASH YOUR HANDS!!!

    Re: Swine Flu

Hi I’m Cassie from the US. I have heard of the swine flu and actually my boyfriend’s sister just got diagnosed with it yesterday. The symptoms are coughing, chest pain, blurred vision, constipation, runny nose, sneezing. There may be some others, but that’s what she had and they gave her a shot; I’m not sure if it was a flu shot though. They also gave her a medical mask to wear so she won’t spread it to anyone else. The doctors didn’t seem to be too panicked about it, other than his sister's white blood cell count was low, which means her immune system is slow so she can’t fight infection very well. The white blood cell count could also have nothing to do with the swine flu so don’t be panicked too much. The swine flu has been known to kill infants and the elderly and my boyfriend’s sister is almost 16 and they said the symptoms would only last a few days. So I think you should be cautious, don’t drink after anyone, wash your hands a lot. But don’t be scared to death, we can live our normal lives and everything will be fine.

People in my country just simply over react and panic. Look at us now giving out millions of Tamiflu tablets a day.

    Re: Swine Flu

You shouldn't be scared of the virus. Yes, it is dangerous to a point but, it's not helping for everyone to panic about it. 2 cases were reported in my town in Kentucky but they were over with in a few days. The students were fine so just relax and go on with your normal days just follow precautionary steps.

    Re: Swine Flu

You shouldn't be worried about it the virus it self is dangerous in the fact that it can weaken and fool your immune system but, the real killer is the pneumonia you get after you catch H1N1. Most deaths are caused by double pneumonia which just means you have it in both lungs making twice as dangerous but don't be worried you will be fine.

    Re: Swine Flu

My name is Gabriella from the USA;  I HAD swine flu. It was a pretty bad experience. I was VERY weak and I ended up being in isolation for a whole week because of it. I have a four poster bed so they made a custom "Isolation Cell" for my be frame. It was like I was in a big plastic cube with an air purifier that was attached to it. The medicine they prescribed to me was called Tamiflu... (350mg.) And fever reducers as well. It is HIGHLY CONTAGIOUS; enough to the point where my mother (an elementary school teacher) missed a little over a week of work because her contact with children. Bottom line: Swine Flu is terrible.

Hi Ashley my name is Holly. Yes, I have VERY much so heard of the swine flu. My sister goes to Westminster College in PA, and some of the college students  have it. I hope she doesn't get it. I heard doctors are trying to come up with a vacination. I hope that comes through.

    Re: Swine Flu

Yes, people can die from it.
But the regular case of flu is
    technically more deadly. The only
reason the swine flu is more deadly
is because it takes over your respiratory
parts of your body. Making your body weaker
    and harder to fight it.

    Re: Swine Flu

Hey Ashley, I had the Swine Flu, I just got over it. I was hospitalized for a week. It wasn't fun. It's just like the reglular flu, only it takes a lot to go away and you have it longer. I hope it doesn't spread.

    Re: Swine Flu

Hi. My name is Elena. I think people over react a bit about the swine flu, because if you research the regular Flu is more deadlier but no one ever really cared about that just because it doesn't have a name that sounds crazy like the Swine Flu does.  People tell you everyday if you have good hygiene you will be just fine. That's just my opinion.
