    Re: Swine Flu

Hello my name is Catherine. I'm from Chicago and the swine flu is also affecting Chicago. I think the media really did blow it out of proportion. More people die of the regular flu every year. It's just another kind of flu. It's no big deal!

    Re: Swine Flu

    Hey Kelly!

I live in Montana! Swine flu has not come here yet. However, I know that many people are worried about it. I have a very low immune system and get sick easily. I am almost positive that if the swine flu comes here I will most likely get it!  Should people like me here be worried?

Yea, I don't see why everybody if freaking out, most of us will probably live through the whole thing. People are mainly worried about the fact that this is a fairly new disease and there is no cure. Kind of like whose the new kid in school.

Hi I'm Miranda. I live in Weathrby,MO.I'm not concerned about getting the swine flu . All you have to do is go to the doctor or you can just stay at home. It's really no big deal and the only people that get it is people with weak immune systems.

    Re: Swine Flu

Hello, my name is Jodie. I agree with you, for the moment the situation isn't horrendous.  Maybe it will become worse. At the start of the century, a small epidemic happened and stopped very quickly, but the transformation of this virus caused loads of people killed. The scientists have fear of the same situation. With the summer, the disease would disappear but would come again during the month of October! I don't know if it's a possible situation, but even if I think that people become afraid too quickly, nobody should believe that is an inconsequential thing.

    Re: Swine Flu

Hey I'm Bailey. I live in Missouri and I think you are right about the swine flu. The only reason people are getting scared is because people are dying. The only people that are dying is senior citizens and young kids. People think that they will get sick. The bad thing is, is that people in middle like 12-40, are getting sick also. I kind of started to freak out when one of my class mates were gone for 2 weeks because he got the flu but we don't know what type of flu that he had.

    Thanks, Bailey

    Re: Swine Flu

Hey I'm Janie. I live in Maryland. The swine flu isn't really spreading as rapidly (that I know of). I am not concerned about it because I don't know of a lot of people who have it. I agree with Kelly about how the media is making too big of a deal about it.

I really agree with you, Kelly, that there is nothing to worry about. Everything has its beginning and will have ending finally. But we have to think about why something strange happened now and then.

    Swine Flu

Hey I'm Kelly. I live on Long Island NY and the swine flu is spreading rapidly. I am personally not concerned about contracting the swine flu. People are making a big deal out of nothing. The media is definitely blowing things out of proportion. People are making a huge deal about a 2 year old in Texas dying. First things first, the victim is a 2 year old! His immune system was not as strong as ours. Second, He already had a respiratory condition. It is very sad that a 2 year old passed way due to the swine flu, but there is really nothing to worry about.
