Re: Special Education Teacher to Teacher ePals

Hi, my name is Lisa and I'm with two other teachers, Joy and Denise.  We are all special ed teachers in the elementary setting in the US.  We live in southeastern Minnesota.  We are looking for making contacts in other cultures.  We also work with the same disabilities that you mentioned.  It would be interesting to learn who you teach and how you do therapy within another country.  I look forward to getting to know you.

    Lisa, Joy and Denise

    Hi Mardell,

my name is Alison and I am (what you would call) an elementary teacher in Australia.  I have a physical disablity myself and have been teaching for nearly 8 years.

I have had students in my classroom with Austism, Fragile X Syndrome, Aspergers, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and other significant learning difficulties.  If you think that I am suitable, I am happy to chat via epals or email to your students.

Special Education Teacher to Teacher ePals

Hello, my name is Mardell Backus, and I am an online professor for a local college.  I am developing a Master's level class called Global Issues in Special Education.  I am interested in having my graduate students connect with other special educators around the world.
