Hello Chris!  My name is Julie Key and I am a third grade teacher in the United States located in Georgia.  My class would love to penpal with you if you have not already found a group to correspond with.  We would like to begin our unit in September as well.  We want to look at cultures, lifestyles, customs, weather, etc.  Please drop me an email if you are interested in penpaling with my class.  Hope to hear from you soon!

It  would be wonderful to talk a little  about  where we live in Canada.  The province is Ontario, the eastern part, along the banks of the St.Lawrence river.  Many of my students have french ancestry going back to the time of Jacques Cartier and Samuel de Chanplain.  However,  they  have lost their maternal language and are relearning it in school.

                                                                         talk soon,

                                                                              Chris di Tomasso

    Bonjour Chris,

J'ai le même projet que toi pour la rentrée de septembre avec ma classe de CM1 (9 ans). Nous vivons dans un petit village en Provence près de Marseille. What do you tell about that?

    Claire,

Me again.  I seem to be bombarding you from every direction but only because i am not  sure if my messages are getting through.  Thanks for your interest and I hope we can talk about possible projects throughout the year.

                                                                                                            Sincerely,

                                                                                                                         Chris

    Claire,

Sounds wonderful, though my students are a bit younger than yours we would love to work with them during the upcoming year.  We live by the St. Lawrence river and water would be a wonderful topic of discussion. How many students in your class?

                                        Talk soon, Chris

    Hi Chris

I teach year 6 (10-11yr olds) in Newcastle England.  Are you thinking of taking part in any projects?  We are studing water and weather from Sept-Oct then Habitats Oct-Dec and would like to use the epals project materials with a partner school.  The children have basic french lessons but I would also like them to develop this skill.  If anything sounds ok let me know.

    Claire

13 super enthusiastic grade 4 students in Canada looking for worldwide partners

We are a small but energetic group of students in Eastern Ontario  interested in sharing, cooperating and collaborating with schools from around the world.  My students are anglophone but do speak French as well.  We begin school in September and would love to have a partner school to communicate with.
