We are actually from Chicago but now are living in Ireland the last two years. We do manage to fly home twice a year. My daughter has fared well here adjusting to the changes and culture as well as being conscious of her long-distance relationships. She is very creative. She likes to write; enjoys art (presently we are working on a mural in crayola, pencil and pastels in her bedroom and have just put up a giant collage on the opposite wall); enjoys reading, cooking with me, video games, sports and collecting rocks. I noticed that you have received quite a few responses to your ePal request and was wondering if you were still open to another pen pal? It is not often enough that I've come across another family that likes the Beatles! I have an 8y old daughter that is looking for a (regular post) pen pal. We are originally from America (Chicago. Although, we did live in North Carolina as well.. I miss Smithfield's Fried Chicken in Havelock and Ocracroke. Stunning sunsets especially after the hurricanes) and now are living in Ireland the past two years. I am glad to say that my daughter (and her 13y brother) has adjusted quite well to the changes and culture. She loves the Beatles, cooking and animals as well as music, history, reading, writing and video games. Not horribly girly but girlier as she goes. My daughter is nine. We were homeschooling for Grades 1 and 2 and now she is at our local Christian school for Grade 3. She loves animals, playing games - and also yelling and running around - Bakugan (at the moment - not sure why), sending/receiving letters, etc.

Hi Sarah:  I'm going to copy and paste my submissions for my two kids.  Where do you live in NC.  Wondered if we know each other?  We live in Henderson and the kids are looking for ePals.  Please let me know if you'd like to allow the kids to communicate.  The following are the 2 posts I made, one for my son and one for my daughter.

Anna Marie is a 10 year old Christian home schooling girl from North Carolina.  We live in a very small town out in the country where we feed and watch the deer each day.  Anna Marie is using ePals as a tool to practice her grammar and writing skills, and to learn more about computers.  She also wishes to learn about people from other communities and other cultures.  She is in her 7th year of dance.  She LOVES all forms of dance and is now dancing competitively with her dance company.  She also takes gymnastics and LOVES any classes like yoga & pilates that help her improve her strength and flexibility as a dancer.  She loves writing and science.  She loves to be outside and enjoys fishing in the family pond.  So she loves "all things girlie" but is still not afraid to bait her own hook!   And finally, for years, she has been involved in numerous community service projects in our area.  She founded her own Kids Care Club where she has given other kids the opportunity to serve in our community, too.  She'd love to get to know some other girls from other areas of the world and our country.  If you are interested in getting to know this really great kid, please email her mom to set it up:  koolhome@epals.com.
