    Welcome aboard!

I have heard from Russia, Canada, USA, Turkey, France ... Yes, the idea is that a whole group or class presents a song (in any language other than their own) and they make it as creative as they can in the presentation, to be judged in the various schools who will alll report their 'winning' song. The final over all winner will be the song that has the most 'winning' votes from the various participating groups/schools.

    Re: Worldvision Song Contest Challenge

    Hi Steve,

I am sure my grade 3/4 class, 8 and 9 year olds, would love to create a video clip of a song.  I assume an entire class can participate as one group.

    Dear Steve!

Our small school in Tatarstan (Russia) would like to participate in your competition. Besides we would learn a large variety of new songs. That's great!

    We start on 1 September.

    Natasha.

    Worldvision Song Contest Challenge

    Hi,

Every year Hinchingbrooke School (www.hinchingbrookeschool.net) runs a Eurovision Song contest amongst its foreign language students. Each class presents a Video clip of a song to be judged in a grand final assembly. It would be fun to make it a little more exciting by inviting schools from around the world to join in ... (Just like the Real Eurovision, we don't care if you are NOT European!!) The rule is that students MUST perform in a language that is NOT their own native language. This usually means chosing a simple, catchy song, that is easy to learn and looks good when presented. We presently do this in French, German and Spanish, but would consider other languages if you would like an audience for your class in a creative context. You may even consider running your own competition to chose the entry that will go forward to WORLDVISION 2010.

If you would like to commit to presenting a video-clip song (dance routine or any other creative presentation allowed) to be judged, let me know and, if we get enough support we can have a WORLDvision Song Contest. We are looking to present in June/July 2010, so there is plenty of time to get ready and rehearse ... if you want to correspond in the meantime, I am sure we can arrange it.

Look forward to hearing from you,

    Steve C
