My absolute favorite books are the Alex Rider series, by Anthony Horrowitz.  They get better and better as they go!

My favorite book so far is The Golden Compass by Phillip Pullman. It is a fantasy book whick is the best kind of book I think. My favorite character is Lyra - she is the only ''main'' character in the book so far. I am not done yet. It is a scary book but why should I tell you why its scary? because it will give away a big point. Cody

Grade 5 (age 10-11) book survey

We'd like to start getting some recommendations from our community about the books that they are reading, and we'd like to start with fiction that 10 and 11 year old students would read. In your reply to this posting, please include what country you are from and if you know the full title of the book and the author's name, that would help our other ePALS find your book in their country. 1. What is the scariest book you ever read? 2. Who is your favourite character in a book and what book was it? Why was this person your favourite? 3. Have you ever read a book that was made into a movie? Which was better, the book or the movie? Tell us why if you can. 4. What is your favourite type of book to read (adventure, fantasy, science fiction, fiction, animal stories, stories about other places). Name the book that best represents your preference. 5. How many books did you read in the millenium year (2000)? Do you think you will read that many this year? More? Less? What would be your "Best Read of 2000" that you would like to tell the world about? Have fun with your answers! ePALS Book Clubber
