Re: Students from India Looking for 13-14 yrs old to Discuss the Wonder Liquid

As a global studies teacher in Bristol, Vermont in the USA, I am interested in having my students connect with students from around the world.  Currently, I have 8 students studying our global community's impact on our waterways.  I would love to have them speak with students anywhere in the world about their use of water, the impact water has on human life as well as how our actions create human problems with water.  Are you still out there looking for connections?

    Anne

I am a TAG teacher as well with a group of 6th grade students who will be discussing and debating whether water should be rationed or not.  Is this still a topic you are discussing with students?  Would you be interested in any kind of dialogue and information sharing on the topic?

We are located in Bettendorf, IA - very near the Mississippi River!  Our school is brand new!

I hope to hear from you.

I am an English teacher in a small school near Lyon (the 2nd biggest town in France) in the Beaujolais area. I am looking for ePals aged 14/18 .They could be in contact via mail and letters and describe themselves, their area , the French way of Life . I'd like them to work on environment (recycling ; global warming; natural disaster). If interested do contact me. If needed I can send leaflets from my area. Hope to hear from you soon.  JOELLE

Re: Students from India Looking for 13-14 yrs old to Discuss the Wonder Liquid

My name is Susanna Robertson and I teach GT Math and Algebra I Honors to 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students at Hickory Tavern Middle School in Gray Court, SC, USA. We are a small rural school and many of our students rarely travel away from home. We hope that ePals will provide connections to the "outside world". We are currently looking for a class that can collaborate with us on a project about protecting and conserving our fresh water sources. Our state is just now trying to recover from drought conditions that have caused problems for many months.  We would love to connect with your students, particularly since they live in an area that is geographically different from our own. All communications must be in English. If you would still like to collaborate on this project, please let me know.

I will also send an email to your address above.  We look forward to hearing from you!
