Re: Worldwide partners wanted for never ending story project

We now have 6 wonderful chapters contributed to by schools from Canada and UK!

The children are loving the project and wish to continue the story.  Hence we are looking for more partners, especially an American one.

Heather, I don't know how to contact you but if you see this and are still interested please contact me on karenxec@epals.com.

    Anyone else?

Re: Worldwide partners wanted for never ending story project

    Dear Elaine, Jim and Heather

I am so delighted you all want to take part!

The children are just putting the story together and as soon as I have the first instalment I'll let you know.

In the meantime I will send you each a copy of the Project Summary Sheet within the next few days which will give more exact details.

    Thank you all so much

    Karen

Your project sounds very interesting! Would love to get my kids involved. Please send me some information about how you want to do it. Such as (you send it to the teacher and she will retype the story the kids come up with?, how long and to who would we need to send it?, etc). Thanks! What a neat idea!

Worldwide partners wanted for never ending story project

    Hi

We are an English medium school near the Bay of Bengal in a beautiful town known as 'The City of Temples' due to us having over 1,000 temples, some dating back 1,000 years.

Our children of Class IV (age 8/9) are starting a story relay project that we hope to find partners to contribute to.

The idea is for us to start the story off and leave it incomplete, forwarding it to our partner school to take in any direction they wish before returning back to us still unfinished.  We intend to keep forwarding the story to different countries until we feel it has run its course.  The developing tale will be hosted on our school website and we hope to get the completed version published and sent to each participating school.

Although Hindi and Oriya are the mother tongue of the children, English is the medium of instruction in all classes.  We believe this will strengthen their English reading and writing skills along with improving creativity (not that they need that last part!).

We are really looking forward to creating links with other schools in this project and hope to find many schools around the world to participate.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Karen
