I think that the only thing that Twilight and Vampire Diaries has is the love between a human and a vampire. The rest, are completely different. I read the first 2 books of Vampire Diaries and they show a different side of vampires that Stephanie doesn't. For LJ Smith, they don't need to hide what they are, and Elena is afraid of Stefan! That made me laugh because for Bella (and it´s my opinion), she is not very conscious of what is a vampire! So, in that aspect, I think that LJ got it better than Stephanie.

I guess it is kind of like Twilight.  I think Twilight is WAY better.

I absolutely love that show, It's so creative and the effects are to die for. It's better than the Twilight movies, but has the same concept. The only thing I don't like is the whole witch thing, I guess they just switched werewolves for witches. Dumb I think.

No offense to what you are saying that Vampire Diaries is like Twilight but the books for Vampire Diaries were made wayyyyyy before Twilight was.... but I still like the show.

Me too! I love The Vampire Diaries. The movie had so much fast movement and the way the vampire teeth come out was cool!

I love the vampire diaries too. It is the best movie ever played on TV. Except I think it kind of copies Twilight. But on the bright side Stephen is very cute and Damen is in a way but, I am not his biggest fan. I also think that the books are way different than the movie.

I watch it too. I love it. I just finished reading the first two books and I'm on the thrid one right now. I can't wait till Thursday when it's on again. But the books are really good and if you like the show you should read the books.
