Re: Ecology correspondence with international high school students

    Hi Stephanie,

I don't know if you are still looking for students to communicate with in regards to the environmental issues you mentioned, but I am a teacher in California, travelling to Fiji this summer to work with high school kids on the island of Beqa. We are looking for students to connect with in the states, but it may not get to be in "real time" because Fiji is south of the equator, and school is in session during "our" summer months.

Another problem is that we may not have internet access at the school, but there is access on the island in other places,  and I will be able to send/retrieve emails there.

I plan to do a program in mostly in reef conservation, although we will be discussing the environment of Fiji in general also. I made a video on youtube of our last visit to Fiji if you are interested in sharing it with your students. You can see some of the projects we did on the video slideshow. You can do a search on youtube for "Global Classrooms for Peace, Fiji, Gina Theodora Bryant" and you should find it.

I hope this email reaches you, and that you are still looking for international students!
    Gina Bryant

Ecology correspondence with international high school students

Hi there! My HS Ecology classes are looking to correspond throughout the school year to discuss our research, such as water quality of Columbus, OH, soil studies, plant & tree identificaition, waste management, alternative energy, coral reef management, etc.  Along with correspondence, it would be great to share a project or research with other countries or areas in the US.  Please email me at stephanies38@epals.com
