Hi Nikkie,
The idea is that each participating class records a video (about 10-20 minutes) where the students themselves explain things about their everyday lives in their country (food, traditions, festivals, houses, clothing, schools...). The topics could be the same for each class, and we, the teachers could agree on a list of topics. The interesting thing would be that once we have this video we can send it via e-mail to the other participating classes and get their videos. At the end, the classes could write each other an e-mail or letter thanking them for the video and saying what they liked about the other country, etc.
This is the general idea of the project, but I am open to suggestions. I think it would be interesting to have several classes involved, from different countries, so as to receive different videos. The ages and the number of students is not a problem really, as it is a group project, not individual.
So far, I am in contact with another teacher from New Jersey, USA, which is interested. I think that a group of 4-5 classes would be ideal.
Let us know if you are interested. Anyone else interested, please write to me nuriabonet@epals.com
Kind regards,
