Re: Grade 9 students from Korea seeking postcard exchange

    Hi Kate!

I'd like to join with you but I have a question.   How long does it take to receive the postcard?

I'll finish the course  the 2nd week of December. But I'll have new students in February 2010.  They're 14 to 18 years old. They study English as a second language, beginners.

    My email is Eliprepa11udg@epals.com

I hope to hear from you,.

    ELIZABETH  from Guadalajara  Mexico

Re: Grade 9 students from Korea seeking postcard exchange

    Hi Francoise -

I am currently organizing the postcard exchange with my grade 9 students with another school, so it looks like we may be set there.
However, I also have 36 grade 7 students who are looking to participate in a postcard exchange.  Would your students be interested in corresponding with them?  If so, please email me at jejudo (at) epals.com, so we can talk about it.  Then we can exhange (first) names and school addresses and get started on the project!  What do you think?

    Hope to hear from you,

    Kate.

    Hi Kate,

I teach high school freshmen, 14-15 years, in southern California, USA.  I have 110 students, but can choose 55 to join this card exchange.  We would be happy to share our culture and interests with your students.  You can check out our web site to get to know us better if you'd like.

    Hope to hear from you,

    Judy Pederson

Re: Grade 9 students from Korea seeking postcard exchange

    Hi Kate,

I have a group of students, grade 9, age 14-15, who are interested in exchanging postcards with pen pals.  My name is Laura and I am a Computer Resource Specialist in a secondary school in Va. USA.  Currently, I am working with several teachers who are interested in connecting their students with students outside of the USA.  We are willing to connect penpals before writing to insure all students will receive a postcard.  Then we will write back.  If you are interested in exchanging post cards with us, send me an email at lonihowell@epals.com.

Re: Grade 9 students from Korea seeking postcard exchange

    Hi Kate

I'm not sure that you got the other mail, I sent?

Either way - I have a group of students aged 14-15 in Denmark who would love to exhange postcards with you. I have 44 students in total, but we are of course very willing to write to more than one person, so that all of your students receive a personal postcard or letter.

Please contact me either here or by linebo@epals.com if you are interested.

    Best regards,

    Line

Re: Grade 9 students from Korea seeking postcard exchange

    Hi

That sounds really interesting and great fun. I have 44 students aged 14-15 who would love to have a correspondance like that!

We come from Denmark so that is nearly as far away as possible from you, and I'm sure that the students can write informing and interesting postcards or letters to each other. My students are also taugt English as a second language and this year is their 6th year of English. Most of them do really well, but I also have some who find English very difficult (That must be the same in your class?)

Please contact me - either here or by linebo@epals.com - if you would like to exchange postcards with us.

    Best regards,

    Line Brinch Olesen

Grade 9 students from Korea seeking postcard exchange

    Hi there!

Here I have 55 grade 9 students who would like to exchange postcards with students of a similar age from another country.  My students are both boys and girls, and they are studying English as a second language.  We would like to communicate in English.  We are open to both native speakers and other ESL students.

On the postcards my students will write a little about themselves, plus some interesting facts about our local area.  We would like to first exchange names before writing the postcards, so my students would be writing to a specific person and not just using a general salutation.   Then we will send the postcards to your school.    In return, we would ask that the students to whom we've written a postcard, write back! :)   This way, all of our students will receive a personalized postcard of their own.

I think it is important for all students to receive their own postcard, so if the numbers of students are not equal, we are willing to write to more than one person, and hope you would do the same for us!

How does this sound to you?

If you have some students who would be interested in this exchange, we hope to hear from you soon!

    Kate.
