Re: USA ePals are looking for TWWA from other countries

Hello :) I'm Marie. I'm French. I teach English to 15 year-old pupils (they've been learning English for 4 years). We live in the East of France, in a very touristic area. I would love my pupils to have ePals to discover a different culture, to practise English and to share their ideas. It would be from now to the end of June. Letting the pupils exchange emails freely and organizing a few projects: we could send you a presentation of our area : a slide show commented by the pupils' voices. We're working on addictions, fashion and body image, global warming, racism and tolerence... we could share our views on these subjects...I have two groups of 25 pupils. It would be important to organize the first email contact quite rapidly not to lose time.I was very excited last year by an exchange with Australians and Americans and was very disappointed in the end because it was so slow to start that the pupils could only exchange 2 emails in 4 months!! There were problems of communication beacause the website ePals kept having problems...

What do you think about all that?

You can contact me on my email address: marie74940@epals.com   I hope you will be motivated to work with me :) Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Cheers

    Marie

USA ePals are looking for TWWA from other countries

Hi, My name is Laura and I am a technology person from Virginia, USA.  Currently, I am assisting four English 10 teachers and one English 12 teacher with finding penpals for the The Way We Are Project.  There are approximately 26-29 students, ages 14-15, in each one of the English 10 classes; and there are 25 students, ages 17-18 in the English 12 classes.  We are ready to start the project at the end of Nov. 2009.  If you are seeking penpals for this project, then contact me at lonihowell@epals.com
