I am looking for a buddy class to do an excel project with my first graders.  It needs to be simple.  Much like the eye color idea.  I would like to exchange data through our wiki or e-mail and do a comparison with my class.  If you are interested please e-mail me.  Thank you.

What kind of students do you have with those eye colours.  Ha Ha

Start with data that the students understand.  Collect information on eye color from the class and put it into a table that looks like

Blond Brown Black Red

10       5        12      5

Then just select the whole table and create the graph:  Menu, Insert, Chart

Once the graph is created, change the numbers in the table and let the students see the graph change.

I am very interested in Excel at the early primary level.  Let me know if you want to explore this more.
