Re: Class from France looking for ePals

    Dear Maria,

I'm sorry but I'm looking for an American class of 25 pupils. However, I've just thought of a good pupil of mine who could correspond to what you're looking for. When school starts back (March, 1st) I'll ask him if he's interested (and if he has a computer at home)

I'll keep you informed. (tell me if you're still interested)

    Céline.

Re: Class from France looking for ePals

    Celine,

Thank you for the reply! My students are ecstatic about ePals from France. Thank you for checking out the blog also.

The subjects I teach our: Grammar/Writing, History, Science, Math, and Reading. In history, we are talking about different aspects in American culture and we would love to compare ours with yours. What subject do you teach?

Right now, I am also in contact with another school (New Jersey, USA) and we are going to start a wiki page to communicate with each other. If you are interested in that, I could add you to the list. I will set everything up and all you would have to do is let a student get on a computer or the class as a whole and answer some questions about your school on-line. Then the students can look at each others' pages.

If that is too much, we could send some emails back and forth. My email is Mrhaney@epals.com.

My students do not speak French but we have a translator on our blog so if your students post a comment in their home language we can translate it. The students always enjoy comments in different languages!

I hope this isn't overwhelming! We are just so excited about international ePals. We have been trying for over a month to connect with a school and have had no luck til now!

Looking forward to your response, Jordan Haney (5th Grade - Knoxville, Tennessee - USA)

Re: Class from France looking for ePals

    Hello Jordan,

It looks great! We're both teaching the same topics at the moment!

What do you teach exactly? I had a look at your blog page, it seems very interesting. Are you an IT teacher?

Do your students learn French? If not, we would be happy to read and write in English ( as far as your students use a very simple language)

We are on mid-term holidays now (back to school on March, 1st), tell me if you still want to work with us!

They will be very excited to have American ePals!

    Céline.

    Hello Celine,

My name is Jordan Haney and I teach in Tennesse, United States. I have 25 students who would love to interact with your English studying students. My students are between the ages of 10 - 12. We are currently studying American culture for the next two weeks and this week looking at holidays and celebration so I would love to have them write to your students on those topics.

Here is my class blog page if you would like to take a look at my class and some of the things we do: http://haney.eduperience.com/

I look forward to hearing from you.

Class from France looking for ePals

    Hello!

My name is Céline. I'm an English teacher in a French Middle School, situated near Lyon.

I have a class of 25 students age 12 studying English, and we'd be glad to write to American ePals.

We are looking to connect with a class of a similar age. We would like to exchange cultural information and take part in discussions that will assist in developing our language skills.

We're studying the USA at the moment. They can introduce themselves, compare the 2 school systems and at the moment, we're studying American symbols and celebrations.

I look forward to hearing from you!
    Céline
