Lucia, I have to agree with you. I couldn't get past the 50th page of Artemis Fowl. I think I fell asleep! Ha! Jenna W.

Re:Worst book in the world, New Zealand

So, my funniest would have to be The Story of the Little Mole (who knew it was none of his business.) I know that it's really childish but it cracks me up! Who knows what worst is... A Series of Unfortunate Events, even though Sunny's really cute. Oh Well! The world is full of opinions!

Hey, I just entered, and I read your message after the first Worst Book Ever message, and I agree with you. How many books have you read during this school year?

I think that the "Borrowers" is the worst book ever. It was so boring. I mean come on, little people running around under your floor and in your walls that " borrow" your lego pieces? How lame can you get? And I like the "Harry Potter" books (and the movies). I think people read the books because it is good literature (that's why I read them). And most don't want to be "wizards" unless they are truly really really into Harry Potter. And maybe little kids do but that is probably it. But like you this is what I think.

I agree but I don't think Harry Potter is the second worst book. It is quite interesting. You should read the book Harry Potter and it is not that weird.

What's up with Artemis Fowl? I guess if it's that bad, I won't read it :D The best book, I believe, seeing it by statistics is the bestselling Lord of the Rings trilogy, along with the less known books written by Tolkien. Harry Potter is also good, though I'm growing out of it. My favorite book now is Eragon, They'll soon have a movie out fall 05 and then you'll all know about it and become obsessed! Evil plots, I tells ya! ;D;D;D The worst book that I've read now is "The Wishing Tree". I just despise that book! It may be easy, but purely, it is composed of bore!

I couldn't agree more. Let's do some math: Artemis Fowl + read = boring! Harry Potter + five books = super weird! I wish those books were never written because when I tried to read them, I was mentally scarred from the process of becoming either unbearably bored or unusually confused. Anyone who likes those books, I have one very important question for; Why!

I think that Artemis Fowl is the worst book in the world too! I mean how can an author just go on and on about something so boring? Plus I think that Ring of Endless Light is bad too, even if it did win a Newberry Award!

    Worst book ever!, Canada

Nancy Drew! She is the worst. All the books are the same and I read some of the books and it is so annoying! I suggest that you don't read them unless you enjoy being bored to the point that you stab yourself in the leg with a fork just to see if you can feel anything but boredom after reading such a boring predictable book!

    Re:Worst or Best?, Thailand

In my opinion, Harry Potter isn't so bad, but it wasn't that good, too. Like everybody else, I've read loads of books and Harry Potter isn't anywhere near the top. I like Aquila and the Fudge series but I don't like Artemis Fowl.

I think Harry Potter is the best and I do not want to be a wizard. Why don't you like it?

You're like me. I hated the "Harry Potter" books and I've never tried that other book you mentioned, but I don't want to even think about reading it if you say it's bad! Well bye! *Morgan*

    Re:Worst or Best?, UK

Harry Potter is great! If you don't like HP then you wouldn't like the Series of Unfortunate Events because the style's similar. Artemis Fowl is good too! I know tastes are different but what sort of books do you like if you don't like these?

Re:Worst book in the world?, Australia

Yes I think they are both extremely bad books. You want to know a really bad book? It's called "Here's to you, Rachael Robinson". It's the worst book I've ever read.
