Re: Worst book in the world?

Personally, I dislike the Harry Potter books more than any other series.  In my opinion, they're so boring.

How could you say that about Lord of the Flies? My teacher is letting me and the other enrichment students read it. He says that it will challenge us and that we will read it in high school again.

What do you mean?   Harry Potter books are not that bad.  I think that Harry Potter books are great.   You  just really have to really get into the book.

I have never read Artemis Fowl, but I love Harry Potter. I think the worst book is Whittington, but I read the whole thing because I had to read it for Battle of the Books for school!

I am sorry but I have to dissagree with you there. Island of the Blue dolphins is a really good book. It was well written and it is a very interesting book. It keeps the reader wanting to come back to it. If you think other wise you should reconsider about the book. Reconsider, Andrew

Wow, I LOVE Nancy. I think that it is supenseful, chilling, good, and the author always leaves you at a cliff hanger. What books do you like if you don't like Nancy Drew? In my opinion, Nancy Drew is awesome! Do you like The Hardy Boys? They are sort of like Nancy Drew. Try them. Please reply soon. From, Macy USA

I thought that "The Pearl" by John Steinbeck was horrible. If I didn't have to read it in class, I would have put it down on the first chapter. I couldn't really get into the Artemis Fowl books, either. I tried reading them three years ago and didn't like them. But then again, I don't like fantasy but I do like Harry Potter. Those books are awesome! No, I don't like them because I would like to do magic or whatever. But I think the author can really write interesting material. No one has really written what she's writing about. That's just my opinion, though!

Hey I'm Klarisa. In my opinion the worst book in the world is Hatchet. It's just so blah. Throughout the book it talks about him (sorry I don't remember the character's name) being in the forest and well I'm more into mystery or books that take place in a high school because they seem more modern. Another book that's kind of boring is Charlotte's Web. We've been forced to read it in elementary so many times that I lost intrest in it. Oh yes, I totally agree that Harry Potter is the worst because it's just about witchcraft. Plus I don't understand a word they are saying! Oh well, those are my opinions. Later, Klari

I have never read those books but it sounds boring from the title so even if I see it, I won't read it.

Hey, I'm Miriam. I live in the USA. I totally agree with you. I think Harry Potter books are really boring. I can't even read the very first page. Well this is my opinion, I would like to know what you think.

Hi, my name is Gaby. I don't think that Harry Potter is the worst. I think that it is an interesting book because they have lots of adventures. Well people have different opinions about the books. I can't force you to say it is a good book.

I think it sounds like a really good book and I'll ask the library about it. Thanks

People don't read Harry Potter because they want to be wizards. People like Harry Potter because it's entertaining. I'm not trying to be rude, but I live in the USA too and a lot of people like Harry Potter, including me. So don't diss Harry Potter please.

Have either of you tried reading Death Comes for the Archbishop? Now, that, in my opinion, is the worst book.
