Re: Worst book in the world?

I haven't read most of the other books being talked about, but trust me, none of them are anything compared to a book called Halo. There's virtually no plot, character development, or correct grammar. It's 500 pages of blah. There are also parts where the author's opinions are shoved in your face. Not pleasent to read at all.

I don't really have a worst book, but I would have to say that The Royal Diaries book about queen Victoria is so boring, badly written, and is something I wish I never read.

In my opinion A Series of Unfortunate Events was the worst. It was really depressing. Still, Snicket has a fairly good idea of his own plot.

The worst book in the world is Spiders. I don't like spiders and when my teacher made me read that book I nearly screamed. It had very detailed pictures too, lucky me.

Yes, you're right.  I really do not have a worst book, but I have read somethings that are boring.

I loved The Series of Unfortunate Events! I'm pretty sure the point of them is to be far fetched and so weird. I also loved the Harry Potter series too! I think it's the best book I've read so far. But if I had to pick a book I didn't like the most it would have to be The Graveyard Book. It's very boring. Thanks, Caitlin

The worst book is Double Identity by Margaret Peterson Haddix - I normally love her books, but this one wasn't good.

I have more than one idea. The worst books in the world are the Harry Potter books.

To me Artemis Fowl is one the best series ever made.  But this is not the point of the real question. To me the worst book ever is Sherlock Holmes. Not that I hate Sherlock it's just that I can't think of a worst book ever.

In Artemis Fowl I only made it to page 117 and then I turned it in. But I would say Harry Potter is okay except for The Order of the Phoenix.

In my opinion the worst book is Captain Underpants. It is just little kid-dish. I give that book a 0-10.

I'd have to say that the worst book I've ever read is, well actually, I've got two.  Unaccustomed Earth, by Jhumpa Lahiri, which I couldn't even finish, and The lovely Bones, by Alice Sebold, which I completely dislike!  Actually, The Lovely Bones is worse, I'd have to say, than Unaccustomed Earth.

Personally, I would have to say 'Call Me Hope' is the worst book in the world.  It was boring.  I didn't like the author.

Personally, I don't like Dmitry Glukhovsky and his "famous" book "Metro 2033".  I can't understand that people I see every day on the subway, buses, or in my university are finding in it.
