Yes, that is true, but this is not a fast process. To be quite honest, I agree with you. This isn't going to be resolved for a few hundred years. I will tell you that much.

Yes, that is one of the causes of global warming using fossil fuels but, there are many more causes like cars, factories and many more things. All these causes are killing animals that live in cold and ice I think we should try to stop this now and fast.

Fossil fuels are the main reason for global warming. There are also other things that cause global warming like cutting down trees so the CO2 can't get out of the atmosphere. Of the last 20 years, 10 of them have been the hottest recorded.

I have heard that about 90% of all pollution is actually caused by the meat industry.  Do you think this is true?

Re: Global warming, Why!, United States

It makes me happy that all of us are in a conversation about stuff that really matters like global warming! I think that global warming is so bad that I might start going on the highways and steets and start picking up litter!

Is it possible to turn out this earth back to ice age? It's because of global warming. Is it?

You're right, this world may end in a few years if we do not act now!

    Re: Global warming, Why!, Portugal

Pensei nisto :)

Adding on to what I said earlier: Other fuel efficient things that we can do to help. Carpooling - using less gas. Gas costs $101 a barrel! CFL - Compact Flourescent Lightbulbs Solar Energy - self explanatory Wind Power OTEC - Ocean Thermal Energy Conversion

Re: Global warming, Why!, United States

Yes, of course! Global warming is mainly caused by our use of fossil fuels today. If we can use alternate energy sources - solar, wind, ocean - then we can help stop global warming. In the future we may even be able to reverse it if we have the chance to stop now. Think in 20 years, when the earth is melting, wouldn't you think: I wish I could have used an alternate energy source 20 years ago. Then this might not have happened. Let's start using other energy sources and being fuel efficient.

    Global warming, Why!, Iran

I believe the very first influential factor contributing to GW is using fossil fuels. I can open up the subject as soon as I see any interest!
