Hi Joseph -  Here is a project we are doing that is short term with potentially a big impact.  Is there any chance your students can help or do you happen to know of a class which can?  The timing is tight because we'd like all the recordings to be back to us in February so it can be mixed and distributed in time for Earth Day 2009.  Blurb below.  Thanks.  Lauren

12 Year Old Boy Looking for Pre-teens from Each Continent to Record
Song He Wrote to Save the Environment

We are hoping to find 15-30 children (any ages, but prefer ages 10-13) from
around the world to sing a song about the environment written in English by
a 12 year old boy from California.  All a participating school/group needs is someone with a good voice/ear who can
teach the song's chorus to the children and a few hours for practicing and
recording.  He can provide you with everything else.  (Click on Sebako at
www.kidearth.us/aitan for a short clip of school children
from Africa recording their part of his song.)

Once mixed, the song will be made into an MP3 and/or CD and sold to
raise money for environmental groups fighting global warming.

Hello Joe! I was wondering if you found a classroom connection yet.  I am looking to connect my group of 33 10-12 year olds with another class.

    Please let me know!

Hi Joe. I am Alina from Dallas, Texas. I have a group of 12 gifted students ages 10-12. I would be interested in working on the project. Let me know if you still need epals and if you want them evenly peired or if it would be a classroom to classroom project.

Sharon & David, I have 18 5th graders who would love working with another class on this topic.  Where are you located?  We are in the U.S. and are looking for a class in a foreign country.
