Re: Teen Partners Wanted, Puerto Rico

Hi, Liz ! Are you still looking for students abroad ?  I'm Nestor Paita, from ARGENTINA. I have a daughter called Daniela, who is 15 y.o. now. Dany is studying in a high school called "Jesús en el Huerto de los Olivos" (http://www.jho.edu.ar/), here, in Argentina. and she is preparing a project about Puerto Rico, with other 2 classmates. Next November 8th, these 3 girls will perform their special class, trying to show the rest of the students a complete idea of your beautiful island.

Talking about additional activities to get a good class, they got a great idea, and asked me for help to achive it: to establish a videoconference with kids of some school of Puerto Rico and then, to get chance of chatting, sharing opinions and ask them questions. I think this would be a real unforgettable experience. May you help us ? I'm new in ePals and, in fact, I am not sure about how it works. Probably, you can answer to me through this forum, but if you want, you can write to my personal e-mail, nespai@epals.com

By the way... do you speak Spanish? (my mother language) Do your students speak Spanish ? Dany and the rest of the students speak English pretty fluently, but surely they will prefer chatting in Spanish, if it is OK for you.

I will be looking forward to hearing from you. THANK YOU !!!!!

    Néstor Paita

    Re: Teen Partners, USA

Hi, I'm an English teacher from Laurinburg, North Carolina, USA and am looking to provide my students with an opportunity to communicate with students from around the world. This is a rural community and the students have little exposure to the outside world. Let me know when you want to start. Thanks. Kathryn
