    Re: Preteen Partners Wanted, Australia

Is anyone still looking for some students to partner with on the Map project?  I have 97 8th graders (12-14 yo) from west central Minnesota, USA.  Please email at westgard@epals.com - we are looking to do this in mid-October.  Thanks!

    Kerri

I am also looking to connect with a grade 7 (ages 11-12) class willing to participate in this project. And I am also new to ePals. I would be willing to working with you on this. If you are still seeking a partner. Hello! My class would LOVE to connect with your class! I teach world geography in Marblehead, Massachusetts (USA), and this would be a perfect project for my students. I teach the sixth grade and my students are 11 years old going on 12 years old - a perfect match! Last year, my class used epals to exchange emails with students in Israel and Italy. It was a wonderful experience. The emails were not project based, though, so I'd love to give this map project a try. I look forward to hearing from you. Re: Preteen Partners Wanted: United States

I am also new to the ePals program and am challenging myself with such technology:) My students are also ages 11 & 12 and are in the 6th grade. We live in the United States(Wisconsin). I have four social studies classes that I meet with each day, however, I am sure that I could include them all somehow in the process. We would be able to start mid September or early October. Does this work for you?

    Re: Preteen Partners, New Zealand

Fantastic! OK, well I am setting up SchoolMail for my children now - so as soon as that's done will also send through list of students as well. Tomorrow is our last day for this term and we are back again on 5 May. We should probably discuss when we want to timetable our 1st Email chat? Have you conducted an ePals project before? Wait to hear from you. Regards, Deb

Re: Preteen Partners Wanted, New Zealand

Hi. I am a teacher in NZ - small rural school - I teacher Y7 & 8 class. I'm quite keen to do this project too. Just printed it out the other day and had a look. I, too, am new to ePals - reasonably tech savvy - and keen to see how these experiences could enhance the learning and class environment. Ideally I'd been keen to kick off in Term 2 (which for us is start of May). When were you thinking of doing this? Deborah
