Thanks for the wonderful information about wetland management.
A teacher from Uganda, My teaching subject is Art/design. I do gardening as well on 14 acre land whose big portion is a wetland. With colleagues we started community based organization called fountain of hope for the desperate people. We are utilizing this land to benefit them.
For years, we have been trying to see how best we can utilize this land aesthetically. That's incorporating gardening and design to benefit the community. So far we have plans for the community resource center we have started changing the environment to go recreational. This land has a water table that is close and a stream running through it. Our dreams are see how best we can get out of it and to have the best recreational ground in Uganda. Thus, it is educational purposefully oriented.
Now, I have the following questions,
1- Are there resources in any format that can be sent to us about the best way to manage wet lands?
2-Are there people over there or organizations that might be interested in our projects that can either be part of the program in any way possible?
3- It appears that, there is no course related to bio-/art & design[ The art of utilizing bio life in design] institute of higher learning, if such courses are there, we need to know the curriculum content and which University offers it.
On request we have sample designs about plants in design at arcadia Valleys garden in pictures and the website below have a lot about the ant’s ways in design.
We shall be very grateful for the response.
