Dear friends from Italy,
I teach technology education to my 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th grade students (ages 10-14). I teach them
technology skills and applications and train educators (teachers) in the skills
necessary for integrating technology into the curriculum to enhance academic
instruction and maximize students’ learning outcomes. This gives me some flexibility
for this project with ePals. We can collaborate with you and others around the
world on any subject/topic that you or both of us choose. For example, your
students can share stories about a book with us, we can share stories about ourselves,
school life, weather, countries, favorite movies, celebrations - anything at
all that allows you to still cover your curriculum and meet your goals! My curriculum/goals
require me to show my students how to integrate technology skills in a meaningful
way, into a lesson. For example, Skype isn't just for fun, it can be used for
collaborative sessions, interviews, etc. Book reports can be written in a blog
format, population can be created in a 3D graph, etc. The possibilities are endless. We would love to Skype with you and we
are looking forward to a successful collaboration!
Other than that, I hope you're having a lovely weekend.
Regards,
Nwando
